How to Connect PostHog to Customerscore.io
Prepare PostHog API Access
- Log in to your PostHog account. We’ll need the project ID from your account URL (e.g.,
https://eu.posthog.com/project/12345
— in this case, “12345” is the project ID). - Navigate to Settings > Personal API Keys and click Create personal API key.
Start by entering a Label name. Type Customerscore.io as the name.
Next, choose the access level: Organization or Project, depending on whether you want to grant access to your entire organization or only to specific projects. Then, under Scopes, assign permissions to the API key. For the basic setup, grant Read access to the following resources: Action, Event definition, Organization, Project, and Query. Once you have selected all the required permissions, click the Create key button at the bottom of the form to generate the token.

- Once the API key is generated, please share it with us securely. You can use a tool like Password Pusher to send the token safely.
- Along with the project ID and API key, please also provide the following additional information:
- Unique Customer ID Field: Which field in PostHog should we use as the unique identifier for each customer?
- List of Events: Which events are you currently tracking in PostHog that you want to sync with the Customerscore.io app?
- Event Aggregation: Would you like us to aggregate certain events or create new events by combining existing ones? Let us know your preferences.
- Floating Average Interval: By default, we apply a sum aggregation over a 30-day rolling window for event data. If you prefer a shorter or longer interval, please let us know.
- Is PostHog Your Source of Truth?: If yes, all customers from your PostHog account will be imported into the Customerscore.io app.
- Other Requirements: Are there any special requirements or customizations we should be aware of?
What Happens Next?
Once we receive all the required information, we’ll begin integrating your PostHog account with the Customerscore.io app. Based on the events you’ve provided, we will map each event to the appropriate Attributes and Metrics within the Customerscore.io platform.
