How to Connect Salesforce to Customerscore

This guide walks you through how to connect Salesforce to Customerscore using one of two supported authentication methods:

  • Username, Password & Security Token
  • Connected App (OAuth 2.0 – Client Credentials)

Choose the option that best fits your organization’s security and compliance requirements.


Option 1: Connect Using Username, Password & Security Token

This method is simple to set up and works well for quick integrations or testing environments.

Step 1: Get Your Salesforce Security Token

If you don’t already have a security token:

  1. Log in to Salesforce.
  2. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. In the left-hand menu, go to Reset My Security Token.
  5. Click Reset Security Token.
  6. Salesforce will email your new security token to you.

Step 2: Enter Credentials in Customerscore

  1. Log in to Customerscore
  2. Go to Settings -> Providers.
  3. Select Salesforce.
  4. Choose Security Token with Username & Password as the authentication type.
  5. Enter the following:
    • Salesforce Username
    • Salesforce Password
    • Salesforce Security Token
  6. Click Connect.

Option 2: Connect Using Connected App (OAuth 2.0 – Client Credentials)

This method is recommended for production environments and organizations with stricter security policies.

Step 1: Create a Connected App in Salesforce

Create a Salesforce Connected App by following Salesforce’s official documentation:

Follow the Salesforce manual to configure OAuth settings according to your organization’s security requirements.

🔒 Recommendation: Use a dedicated integration user and grant access only to Accounts and Contacts.

Step 4: Get Client Credentials

From the Connected App details page, copy:

  • Consumer Key (Client ID)
  • Consumer Secret (Client Secret)

Step 5: Enter Credentials in Customerscore

  1. Log in to Customerscore
  2. Go to Settings -> providers
  3. Select Salesforce.
  4. Choose Connected App OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials as the authentication type.
  5. Enter:
    • Domain
    • Consumer Key
    • Consumer Secret
  6. Click Connect.
